About this picture
"I grew up far away from the mountain but I've been skiing every single year from 3 to 35 years old. I love mountains, especially in the winter. And I love the Alps, I've been in almost every ski resort on French and Swiss sides. I calculated that I've spent close to one full year of my life skiing. Crazy stuff. Yet I had never really taken any 'mountain photos' before this year back in 2017 around Val d'Isère and Tignes.
I find it so cool to play with scale, frame, light and contrast and try to capture a nice piece of these huge things we call mountains. I was in a shuttle between the two resorts when I shot that picture, you see the reflection of the light on the window on the top left. That's the lake effect." © Augustin Remay I Pagaille
